Updates from Worlds

It's that time of year again. Worlds are about to start in Thailand and my intention is to post updates to the site as I get them. However as I am not at Worlds I will have to gather info from a number of different blogs and websites.

Last year the best sources were blogs by Jens Fischer and Ciaran Lawlor. I don't know if they will be blogging again this year.

Alfred "Tuna" Snider will be in Thailand and we have a new blog from Lee Daly and Greg Bowler of DCU.

There is also a facebook group for those of us not at Worlds. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=6407639217&ref=mf

Bids for Worlds 2010

Over the past few weeks the three bidders for Worlds 2010 have been busy sending promotional e-mails to the various e-mail lists.

I have not posted them here because in general they are saying the same things as the bid websites. Also I was busy at WUPID and my N95 was not as flexible as I would have hoped (or as Nokia would have people believe).

If you want to view the numerous e-mails then you can find them on boards such as

Happy Christmas

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all visitors to this site a Happy Christmas and a peaceful and prosperous 2008. Even if this time of year bears no special significance for you I hope you'll accept my wish for happiness, peace and prosperity.

And in particular I would like to wish best of luck to all those traveling to Worlds in Thailand. I'm sure it will be a great tournament.
